There are numerous filler brands on the market. The majority contain Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is a substance that is naturally found in skin. Some contain Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CH). HA fillers are softer and more fluid. CH fillers are more viscous and have a longer lifespan. They are used in different areas for different reasons. Both these fillers absorb after a period of time. Fillers we use are non-animal based, biodegradable gels made by reputable companies with strong track records.
Fillers can be used to fill lines, add volume or lift. Thus we can treat fine nasolabial folds, marionette lines with smooth thin fillers or we can tear troughs, jowls with slightly more viscous fillers or we can add volume in the temple, cheeks and lips with more dense fillers.
The procedure takes about 20-30 minutes. After your face has been assessed the appropriate filler will be chosen. The area will then be cleansed. Most of the fillers we use contain local anaesthetic so there will be some numbing effect once injected. If you are anxious or very sensitive we can use local anaesthetic in addition to this. A tiny needle is used to inject the filler into the desired position. The filling effect is seen immediately.
Anyone who has some fine lines or who has lost some volume and would like to regain that and look refreshed and youthful.
